Active Studios is a beautiful oasis for fitness and yoga in Essendon. We provide a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can enjoy a calm yoga session, challenging pilates session and heart pumping fitness class. Our Vinyasa Yoga classes combine breath to movement and lets you move between the postures in flowing transitions. This class has more movement than the classical yoga class. Our instructors will give you different options to either make your practice more advanced or restorative. Suitable for all levels.
This nourishing practice uses supported postures to facilitate deep release, increase flexibility and allow space for mindfulness. Complimentary to more active classes this class will challenge you in a completely different way. Suitable to all levels and specifically designed to improve tranquility, flexibility and symmetry.
Yoga Fundamentals is an instructional ‘back to the basics’. Similar to our other yoga classes, Fundamentals will improve tranquility, flexibility and symmetry as well as providing for more instruction. While all levels will benefit from Fundamentals it is very supportive of beginners.
These classes are seriously upbeat and incorporate traditional mat pilates exercises, plus a revolutionary mix of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and weight work to strengthen your core and tone your body. Each class will follow a similar sequence but the order and focus will vary from class to class. Suitable for all fitness levels, these classes are high-energy and great fun thanks to a playlist of inspiring beats.
The Hot Pilates class is aimed to improve muscle control, core strength and increase oxygen flow throughout the Cardiovascular system. It is also used as a means of rehabilitation whilst focusing on endurance, coordination and flexibility. The class will seek to challenge every individual in a fun, safe and holistic approach.
Our full body fitness classes are a fun group workout where you will experience different forms of resistance training. This class often incorporates high intensity interval or Tabata styles of training that involve bursts of energy followed by a short of period of rest. You can also expect fun circuits using equipment such as kettle bells and medicine balls. Come in for a great fat-burning experience!
BoxFit is high-energy group workout that places an emphasis on boxing and incorporates solid pad work with bodyweight circuit training. BoxFit is available to all fitness levels. BoxFit will have you sweating, relieving stress, burning calories and having fun all at the same time.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is a fast paced effective workout perfect to fit in before the afternoon rush! This class is based off multiple variations of HIIT training including Tabata. This specific style of training give’s you the best results in a short amount of time due to the intensity of the session. Although geared to a higher level of fitness, there will always be modifications for lower fitness as well and beginners are welcome!
CoreBoxFit is a new class that offers an exciting combination, and equal measure, of core work, full body fitness and boxing. CoreBoxFit is available to all fitness levels. CoreBoxFit provides a full body workout delivered with high energy.
Kettle Bell training is a new class that includes the use of Kettle Bells and includes technical work, interval training, conditioning and core. As you can modify the weight, Kettle Bell training offers a great option for all levels of fitness.
Circuit classes provide a dynamic program that will provide a full body workout while using a diverse range of equipment and space. Due to its flexibility each class will offer a different experience. Our circuit classes are high energy, fun and will ensure a in for a great fat-burning experience!

The unlimited package provides maximum flexibility for members with access to all classes, any time.
For members only wanting to utilise pilates and yoga classes. The package includes all pilates and yoga classes, anytime. Members on this package are not entitled to any cardio/strength classes.
For members who are only looking for classes at off peak times. The package includes all classes between 9am and 6pm Monday and Friday and all of Saturday. Members on this package are not entitled to any early weekday morning classes or evening classes 6pm or later.
Not quite sure of an annual commitment? If this sounds like you, a two month membership offer may be just what you are looking for. The two month membership package includes access to all classes, any time. The two month membership is not available to be renewed.
Membership packages can be cancelled at any time, with a 4 week notice period.
